Hobart's Steakhouse - Peterborough

Steaks here are delicious! Also like the orange and almond salad with steak strips on top.

The family and I headed to Peterborough for my Grandpa's birthday.

I don't usually hand out 5 stars but I was really impressed by my server Lisa.

First impressions of Hobarts is that of an upscale, inviting restaurant a great place for a meal and enjoy an evening with friends. I ordered a cosmopolitan martini which was generous, a great drink. The appetizers were tasty. I ordered prime rib as an entree, unfortunately, at that point the meal went south. Hobarts advertises itself as a steakhouse and would lead people to think this is what they do best. Wrong! My meal was a complete FAIL, the prime rib was beyond bad and most was left on the plate. Hobart's Steakhouse is listed as #29 of 237 on TripAdvisor and now I know why!!

Went here to celebrate our friends' 45th anniversary and were not disappointed. We had four different dishes and everyone enjoyed their food. The salmon was delish and served with vegis and roasted potatoes. The salads our friends ordered looked pretty average so hubvy and I were glad we didn't order them. As a surprise, the waiter brought dessert with a candle for them which was a lovely touch. We will definitely return.
