I really loved this place and look forward to visiting another. no type of foods that are easy to find, especially in vegetarian form. had no expectations in, but loved the variety that I ordered in the set meal that we ordered. everything went well together and was completely venerable. we had hired the kristang, but are really interested in trying the others in the future. the personal was welcoming and very informative. they explained how the meal should be eaten properly and made the experience a great. can not recommend this place enough. if they even have an interest in peranakan cuisine or vegetarianism in general, they must check it.
It's a convenient joint within Jaya Shopping mall. Had a set meal enjoyed the taste. Was excited that they don't add onions or garlic. Hospitality was great. Will give you a welcoming sign.
I'm just really happy that I finally got to try Kristang cuisine thanks to Crown Colony Cuisine after developing a keen interest in Kristang heritage for so long. The best part is that it's vegan. I enjoyed the pineapple pr'wn curry meal set while my boyfriend enjoyed the briyani meal set. We can't get enough of the food. We'll definitely come here again to try the rest of the menu.
Nice view from the balcony seats, lighting is cozy too. Inexpensive menu.
I ordered three items: the fried tempeh sticks, the pickled vegetables, and a bento box with some fake chicken, fish, some veggies and rice. Overall, the food was good enough. Nothing really struck me as excellent; that said, the fake fish, fried, was really well done. At home, I ate mostly WFPB with no oil or sugar, and I found the food at Crown Colony Cuisine a bit too oily especially the tempeh stick, that were neither crunchy nor really interesting to eat. It's nice to have this place as a full vegan option in the neighborhood, but personally, I will not make it a staple when I'm in town.
