we arrived for lunch at the whole grain, an arch club with macrobiotic, vegetarian and vegan menus right in the historic center of Perugia. Stefano welcomed us and made us feel at home from the very beginning. Maybe I didn’t read the listing properly I thought it meant call ahead to reserve the cooking classes, not for lunch. Anyways we found the place fine thanks to the tips below, but when we arrived at 12.30pm on a Wednesday for lunch, nobody answered the door. Shame as there’s not many good vegan options in Perugia and we were looking forward to it. View all feedback.
The restaurant is part of a macrobiotic association of perugia, the current chef took over in early September 2020 and its cuisine is spectacular, healthy and high-level food. great price, 16 euros for the complete menu of two starters, first, second and sweet, abundant dishes. declare to be vegan because some dishes have milk.
Worth visiting, I highly recommend it! every day there is a set menu full of fresh, local, nourishing, healthy, tasty vegan food based on macrobiotics. there are also some beautiful vegan/bio products in their shop. it's a bit complicated to find on the first visit. it is located in the corner between bean and osteria 13. look after the 9 on the wall. You have to turn left and go up a stairs. look at the signs! once they find it, they will be very happy
Delicious restaurant, associated with arches, vegetarian, located in a recounted but cozy place in the historic center of the splendid perugia managed by the dear and kind friend stefano, formidable chef who prepares and serves delicious dishes, simple but various, depending on the gorges of each, to moderate prices. The pasta with basil and walnut pesto is very well recommended, with a stefano guest and friends and family on holiday in Umbria last summer. Go!
