The menu now offers a vegan torta al testo, with 3 seasonal vegetables (mine were zucchini, aubergine and some greens). the brot the torta is super good! easy lunch option, and although located in the tourist center / old town, it felt less tourist menu is only in italian, and most of the diner seemed like local students when I was there.
Initially there is no common vegan option, they need to ask specifically for one. but the staff was nice and ready to help and the torta was great! I had it with zucchini, auberginen and broccoli. the price is also great, around 5 euro with a drink. the biggest but is the side. we ordered a side of carburized potato that was 3 euro and we literally served 2 kartoffels, and not as a metaphor, they were really two. a little ridiculous.
It is the best place to try one of the local specialties: the torta al testo. this can be composed only with vegan ingredients, as they prefer. the supplements are also slightly veganized
Already tried near the hospital of perugia. in the center even better. excellent text cake. you can compose as you like. especially recommended the combination of ciauscle, pecorino and zucchini. good quality wood grill and meat (at least as regards pork, beef we did not try. ) prices more than honest. attentive and kind staff. Despite the high day, we had food for 11 in less than 20 min. Water Filled Text Cake: 5€ per person. Not bad.
Local top! have tables outside and some table inside. the staff is young and very kind. we tried the famous text cake and it is really good and stuffed. the price is little counting that you satiated a lot, with 5€ you eat a nail (and there are so many fillings to choose from) and you included a glass of water or wine or drink. we also took a nail to take away the empty cake, and it costs very little. it feels that everything is prepared at the moment and it is all warm. we were lucky we waited a little but I suggest you arrive as soon as you open and take place.
