What TomToowoomba likes about Tak Chee House:
Being Malaysian I tend to gravitate towards Malaysian cuisine when I can and this place was a real gem. The char koey teow is as it should be and the chicken rice is delicious too. The chef is from Penang and it is evident in the food. Can’t wait to go back there if I’m ever in Perth again. View all feedback. What geromam doesn't like about Tak Chee House:
Surrounded by a lot more fancier looking places to eat, you probably would easily walk by and not even notice Tak Chee. The Malaysian food served here is not pretentious. Cooked fresh, very reasonably priced. As one table empties, more people in the door to taketheir place, while take aways seem to do a roaring trade on the Friday night we were there. read moreTak Chee is a no-frills Malaysian restaurant tucked away in Northbridge. While the decor may not be anything to write home about, the food more than makes up for it. The Hainanese chicken rice and curry laksa are fan favorites, with the chicken being tender and juicy, and the laksa packing a flavorful punch. The restaurant offers specials every night, attracting both dine-in customers and those looking for takeout options. The Nyonya cake is a must-try dessert, and the portion sizes are generous for the price. Whether you're a fan of traditional Malaysian fare or looking to try something new, Tak Chee is definitely worth a visit for its authentic and affordable dishes.
