Very efficient service I recommend the seafood spring rolls as a good starter. Quite affordable place, with charming Chinese decor. Food was very well prepared, and full of flavour. View all feedback.
What Effie Howe doesn't like about Shanghai Tea Garden:
my bf and I visited this restaurant a few years back and it was not a great experience. we ordered a serving of steaming shanghai pigeon, but had to wait 25 minutes and the restaurant was empty. I took my friend there and ordered some dishes, the fish was the simplest dish I've ever eaten in my life, they don't think that the ingredient tastes super fresh either next to the bad service, there are some things I found that are not pleasant, and it puts my appetit out, anyway don't think I'll go back.

Back to eating what was bred as a back to the classic Chinese cuisine, it was terrible. I have served a pork bauch dish in a little 100ml bambus tube, overcooked cubes of un-rendered pork fat...ghastly, a deep roasted duck shell...dry and cordy, a superficial dish that I had eaten as I was hungry, a fish dish that I hopefully never meet again, and as a fermentcendo to eat a water

The beef flavours were tasty, but the mixed vegetables were disgusting. Extremely bland and not fresh at all as they used canned corn and mushrooms. When my boyfriend payed a staff member asked how it was and explaining what we had she said the other staff member had placed the wrong vegetable dish so we were charged less. That was nice, but we didn't eat any of it because it tasted gross.
