If you want Chinese food, unlike Australian Chinese food, especially noodles, you can dive into Mr Bun. The small food serves a variety of noodles that are generally not available in other Chinese restaurants. This is because the others serve what many Australians think is Chinese food. Seriously, Mongolian lamb? Satay beef? Lemon chicken? Even fried rice bears little similarity to what Chinese are used. View all feedback.
What Fermin Koch doesn't like about Mr Bun:
Good value. Uses wide bowl and just to make it look big portion. Cheaper than city ramen places.
Can be a quite pack place for lunch. Tastes like self made noodle. Worth the buck. View all feedback.
Hole in the wall with huge servings and ridiculously cheap prices for handmade noodles. unapologetic humble cook with comfortable aromen. had the noodles in the sesame sauce, was lipsmackingly delicious and the noodles had resilient bodies to them. surprisingly little lunch place the quality
They do not offer many options on their menu, especially for a non-Rind meal like me. I ordered the spicy and acidic fish soup with belt noodles. the noodles were so smooth and thin, fish was tender and suppe was tasteful. I find it a sweet to eat with chiffel because the nudes were so long and smooth, it slips all the time from their chiffel and I get sore finger after the completion of my meal. but I am ready to go through for good food.
One of the few places that makes Rou Jia Mo or Chinese burger which tastes decent you can opt for extra spicy. Their portions for the noodle dishes are quite generous also.
Had the mild spicy beef noodle with flat. Oodles. Portions are gigantic and so delicious. $11 for 2 people is incredible value for money. And the food was incredible!
The noodle was fine with a good portion, the soup was too salty. The kitchen is kind of dirty. The Chinese burger which is about 5 dollars is not worth the money, you'd better buy two cheeseburgers in Maccas in hay street. The store is in a good location, however, you need to get some good food to serve the people around. Not a good experience.
