The Good Fortune Roast Duck House has been a favorite of ours for many years so being in town on Saturday night took the opportunity to visit the new Restaurant location in William street. As per usual the food was just delicious. More more more!!!!!.The Peking Duck pancakes were oh so delicious. The only down side was the new restaurant no longer has that frantic, noisy, hectic , vibrant street vibe that would transp... What Myrtice Prohaska doesn't like about Good Fortune Roast Duck House:
This was shockingly different from whats on the board. The duck was cold and tough. meat had no texture almost like smoked duck. Not sure if its cos I visited abt 7+pm The saving grace is the plum /hoisin saice.Had xo scallops too. but broccoli was salty and scallops were small .Not worth it View all feedback.
Quack, quack, quack... This place is amazing!!! I can't blame you. The dishes are delicious, tastefully extremely addictive. What can I say...
We visited Good Fortune in Northbridge before we became loyal customers of the outlet at East Victoria Park. Many people have come out for...
I don't think much duck. The employees look at you and laugh while they blow in their language. Expensive imo 1 star, will never return as I know...
Came to check out Good Fortune at their new premises on a Saturday night. We were seated right away and orders taken promptly. We ordered chilli pepper soft shell crab, wonton soup, small roast combo (roast duck and roast pork), king prawns with egg white, 2 iced coffees and steamed rice. It was way too much food for 2 people. Portions were huge! The roast meats were delicious. The crackling on the pork was crunchy and belly was tender. The roast duck had good flavour. The soft shell crab was one of the best versions I've had. Sometimes the crab is soggy and fishy tasting but theirs was good! The wonton soup for $13 was a big portion and suitable for a main. The wontons were average, nothing to rave about. The king prawn with egg white dish is actually one of my favourite things if done well. Unfortunately Good Fortune did not do a good version. The scrambled egg whites were cooked well and fluffy but the ginger sprinkled all over it was over powering and ruined the dish. Overall an enjoyable dinner!
Great roast dock and equally good sides. Portion sizes are generous and i must say the new location really makes the place more inviting and much cleaner than the previous one.
