My wife and I visited the D'Ankasa Restaurant twice for dinner. The servings are generous so modify your orders accordingly is the best advice I can offer. The meals were some of the best Malaysian food we have had in Australia in recent years. View all feedback.
What Cpwee doesn't like about D'Ankasa Malaysian:
Ordered dinner from D’Ankasa via Deliveroo. Orders came wrong. Pineapple fried rice was hardly anything like what it ought to be. The Hor fun came without the rice noodles, but gravy was decent. View all feedback.
Had meeting in London Court Perth in Hay street mall. We wanted a quick nutritious lunch to keep going. Walked 5 mins east. Nev ordered Hainan chicken rice with steam chicken breast for 11 an the mixed fruit juice. I also had the white meat to be calorie and protein consious. However, instead of a fruit juice I had the soya bean bandung for 3.5, This is a pink coloured soya bean drink. Indonesian origins with a pink flavoring added to sweet soya bean milk. The Hainan rice came with a clear consome with no fat in it, Another plus for the low calories. The rice was not oily and the chicken was steamed without any extra oils just some fried shallot shavings. The soya bean was a tall glass...read more
A lil restaurant tuck away in a lil corner. Decor is ok nothing too fancy. I only grabbed takeaway though. Ordered Hainanese chicken rice, ice milk tea, roti and peanut sauce for 20. Cash preferred unless over 30. Food was good, nothing much to complain about. English is minimal.
I would like to share my experience today eating at Malaysian restaurant called D’Ankasa in Huntingdale . The moment I went inside the restaurant had a bad feeling. The owner had a terrible attitude, he was fighting with some of his staff by banging and throwing items in the kitchen. I could hear from the dining area. Then he charged me an extra 1 because my order was under 20. Normally I would be happy to pay the extra 1 but this man was so rude and nasty.
Ordered delivery for two main dishes curry huh and kartoffel and kangkong belacan. big disappointment when I got kailan and carrots. kangkong and kailan are definitiw very different. the restaurant could have contacted me about the order if they had no kangkong. the curry chicken and kartoffel was quite salty and the portion size was small for the price 17.50. more gravity than huh or kartoffel.
What a great Malaysian load! d’ankasa is something hidden and as it is at the far end of hay st, people tend to not make the effort to go so, but they have no idea what they miss. chickens are not the main attraction here, for obvious reasons. the chicken is beautiful and damp, but this soy sauce is much too salty for so delicate meat. the rice is dry and chili sauce is not on standard, with all that is too fine mined. so said, definitely get their Chicken-Nasi-Lemak . holy cow you will love the chicken and kartoffel cure! mix it with sambal and their taste buds will not sleep for hours
