Known for its late-night hours, it provides a relaxed atmosphere complete with live music on weekends, making it a popular spot for casual gatherings. Diners rave about the generous portions and rich flavors, especially the biryani rice and pecel lele. Though prices have slightly risen, they remain budget-friendly. Special dietary options are available, but be mindful of additional costs for extras like meat or vegan cheese. Overall, this venue promises satisfying meals and a welcoming vibe, ensuring repeat visits.
Authentic Malaysian food! Ordered the Nasi biryani with beef rendang and fish Assam pedals and the ayam penyet I would only wish that they gave more of the dishes (the biryani had only 3 pieces of fish and there was only a spoonful of pickled vegetables for both plates) to go with the rice
I highly recommend this restaurant. It is one of my favorite top-rated cafes that serves authentic Malaysian cuisine. I tried the Nasi Goreng Pattaya with a side of Ayam Goreng (fried chicken) and the flavors were incredible. The portions are generous and well worth the money. The chicken was exceptionally flavorful and we regret not ordering more. They have a wide variety of dishes on the menu, so I will definitely be returning to try more.
OX tail soup always my favourite. So yummm.I like to sit beside the window, so comfortable. They also have live music every Friday and Saturday night .
I remember prices used to be $9.9 and have since increased, though the quality has remained consistent. I continue to come here not only for the Malay cuisine, but also because they are open late, providing a convenient option. The atmosphere is relaxing with live bands on weekends, creating a lively and fun environment reminiscent of home. It's a great spot for a budget-friendly meal and enjoyable setting. Note: Additional meat costs $3, while extra noodles are also priced at $3, which may seem high compared to market prices.
Makan2 is hands down the most yummiest and well priced indo malay restaurant we've been to. We are soo full and satisfied. Thank you we will definitely be back!
