What Elody Blanda doesn't like about Bar 138 on Barrack:
Can't fault the friendliness and efficiency of the staff but the food that we ordered wasn't good value for money. My daughter bought a chorizo pizza which, when it came, was deconstructed. Interesting concept but not what we were after. My husband paid $22 for a mushroom salad which was mostly lettuce and only a handful of mushrooms. It was winter and understandably wet however, the table we sat at had a huge puddle... View all feedback.
Nice place BUT $13:50 for a pint of beer !! Prime example of rip off Perth , over priced, perhaps that's why it was empty on a Friday evening at 6:30pm.

Went in with my best mate on a quiet and mellow Tuesday night to an empty bar and advertised food specials with drinks orders. Bought a painfully overpriced $12 Rum and Coke and ordered a $10 meal as well. Service didn't want to be there at all and were more concerned with chatting than serving us. Received the meals and my salad was abysmally chewy and lathered in sauce, I guess that's what I should expect from a $10 none the less but still some edible bits would have been amazing. Highly doubt I'll ever return...
Awful. Food is sooo overpriced! I paid $26 for an average chicken ceazear salad. Tried for breakfast $17 for 2 poached eggs and a thick slice of toast. You have to sit on those red metal stools and yer just no don't do it. It was attached to our hotel for room service and it was just deplorable.
Excellent service, drinks and food. My partner and I went in on a Living Social voucher, getting us $100 bar tab for $45 (so we got 2). Cocktails are reasonably priced at $17-19 each. Very tasty and different combinations. We got 4 each, plus a serve of wedges ($8.50) and the Barrack Plate ($38). Wedges were delicious and fresh, and presentation was very stunning. We had it with sour cream. Platter had 4 chicken strips (beautifully herbed), 4 large slices of garlic bread (melt in your mouth), 5 salted prawns and 5 pieces of salt and pepper squid on a bed of salad. It also came with a very satisfactory garlic aioli . The meal was very filling, and we couldn't finish it. Customer service was amazing too. Polite and willing staff. Even came round to make sure we didn't want any more food before the kitchen closed. Cocktails were out within a few minutes of ordering. Meals took no time at all to come out. Presentation of everything was fantastic. Everything was fresh and delicious. Will definitely be going back.
