Was Freida Considine at Arthouse a mag?
I work in Northbridge and occasionally pop in here for lunch. The staff are always friendly and I enjoy the atmosphere. The food is alright - bit of variety and different to the other caffissimos. Amex is accepted here :) View all feedback.
What Antonetta Gleichner dislikes about Arthouse:

We originally had not planned to lunch here but we spent longer than anticipated enjoying the gallery. It was a very hot day and the cafe is air conditioned so we decided to give it a try. We were lucky it was relevantly early 11.45 am so we beat the lunch rush.I was surprised at the variety of food on offer and all 6 adults found something they enjoyed. Even the pre-made rolls / sandwiches were fresh and tasted good.Service was quick and friendly but as stated we had beaten the rush that arrived by 12.30 pm. Tables and chairs are basic but comfortable enough. the coffee and tea were also hot and tasted good. The surprise came at the price we had expected to pay more for a meal at a premier venue that we did. So well done for keeping prices reasonable - not cheap but reasonable.

Top spot but.....They advertise "Open for coffee, tea, lunch 7 days a week"We went for lunch at 1.15pm and were told that the kitchen was closed as they weren't busy. That was not the sort of reply you want to hear at lunch time.We ordered wraps and a toasted sandwich anyway and 15 mins later we went and asked where our food was. Remember, they were not busy so you would think that a mere toasted sandwich that was already made and sitting in the cabinet but just required toasting, would not take more than 5 mins, and a wrap that also needed toasting would only take the same time.As you can imagine, we were not impressed and will not be going back. Thankfully, when our food eventually arrived, the waitress did apologise for the delay but this was just too late. We had to rush our food in order to get back to work.By the time we left at 1.45 they were packing the outside tables and chairs away ready for closing as they were not busy.In our view, not worth visiting. There are plenty of much better cafes and restaurants around. Give Borcellis in Forest place a go. They are brilliant and stay open no matter what!
A popular spot for a quick lunch, with a diverse menu and friendly staff. Despite some negative experiences with delayed service and early kitchen closures, the cafe offers a comfortable atmosphere and reasonable prices. Perfect for a casual lunch break in Northbridge.
