Contribute Feedback What Jeffery Jacobi likes about Arthouse Dine:
My partner decided to take me to Arthouse for my birthday after stumbling across mouthwatering images on instagram. Neither of us had visited before and we were both so impressed with the food, atmosphere and service. I had the warm broccoli & coconut salad, cucumber, chilli as an entree; pan-roasted cauliflower, cauliflower couscous, cashew paste, mustard seed, pickled chilli main; and beetroot sorbet, chocolate cru... What Paolo Morissette doesn't like about Arthouse Dine:
I ordered a hot chocolate, but what I received was neither hot nor chocolatey. At a cost of $6 for what I would consider a small to medium hot chocolate, it was a rip-off. My drink arrived in a blue type jug, with a small cup. I had to pour my own hot chocolate into my own mug :-( After looking around a beautiful Art Gallery full of wonderful painting, my drink was a let-down. A normal takeaway hot chocolate small/re... We discovered this restaurant just before it was about to close down for good. Unfortunately, the lease was expiring on Sunday, which was a real shame because the food was actually quite good.
This cafe is absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't help but notice the disco ball inside. I only had a coffee during my first visit, so I decided to go back and sample their food.
We stopped here for a quick coffee after visiting the art gallery. The coffee was excellent and whilst we didn't eat anything we'll definitely come back as the menu looked good.Staff were very friendly and the space is quirky and in keeping with the art gallery vibe.
It was a very warm night and Northbridge was buzzing with people because of the Fringe Festival. So this was a great location to eat. We had booked a table because we had been to one of the Fringe shows and knew it was going to be busy everywhere. Service was good. But unfortunately the menu was disappointing. Not a very big selection to choose from. One of our group had the burger and rated it 6/10. My husband had the Linguini and was very happy with his dish. I just thought it was served in a little bowl which seemed a bit strange for a pasta dish. Myself and my friend ordered the Lamb Belly. Now I must say I somehow got myself confused and thought I was getting Lamb Backstrap. This was entirely my fault nothing to do with the menu or restaurant. The salad that came with it was great. Very fresh and a slight acidic tang which was needed because my Lamb belly was nearly all fat. It was bad. And I'm a person who is not adverse to a little fat on my meat normally. But this left me feeling ill all night! Again I stress that I made a bad choice but I also felt that the menu was restrictive and I didn't think there was a lot to pick from. When are asked my friend ( who is celiacs and needs to make a GF selection ) what she thought her reply was "very fatty". Needless to say I won't be ordering Lamb belly ever again anywhere.
One of the best places I have eaten in Perth recently. We called in on a Saturday night before attending a Fringe show. The staff were so friendly and efficient it was so noticeable in the face of so much ambivalent attitude from many other places. The menu was varied with lots of tapas style food which looked beautiful. My husband had the prawn linguine and all I could hear from him were mmmmmming sounds until he had finished. I had the cauliflower with cous cous and chilli and it was delicious. It is a huge improvement on the old cafe and I will certainly be going back to try something else.Once again, I must congratulate the establishment on employing staff who are happy in their work. It really made a difference.
