Amberjacks - Perth
Amberjacks
Description
Nestled near the beach, this fish and chips spot offers a mixed bag of culinary experiences. While some guests praise the generous portions of traditional chips and delicious grilled fish, others lament the soggy batter, tiny squid rings, and lackluster service. Critiques highlight inconsistent quality and seasoning, leaving some diners disheartened and vowing never to return. However, for those with dietary restrictions, the limited gluten-free options, including friendly chips, provide a glimmer of hope amid the disparaging reviews. Overall, the location's charm contrasts sharply with the dining experience, making it a contentious choice for potential patrons.

Classic place to get fish chips! perfect for a trip and a great location directly opposite the beach, so they can sit on the grass or sand and enjoy with views of the sea! fed 5 people, had grilled fritted fish, kartoffel gems/pockets, squid rings and naturally hot chips!
This restaurant has limited gluten-free options, but they do offer coeliac friendly chips and a grilled fish dish. The chips were delicious and it's nice to know there is a place I can go for a gluten-free meal next time I'm at the beach. Check out more gluten-free reviews on @glutenfreefoodie_perth on Instagram.
The grilled Spanish mackerel was delicious, while the prawns and breaded calamari were just okay. The chips were excellent, made in a traditional style with a generous portion size. The fish bites were also a good choice.
The fish at this restaurant is beautifully cooked and crispy. The fries are not very big and could use a double or triple fry to make them more crispy. The view of Cottesloe Beach is stunning. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food, but don't expect to find a bargain. Overall, the experience is decent but not excellent.
