If you are in the Fair City of Perth and you are looking to impress I recommend Dean's. It is a bit more pricy but the hit in your pocket I am sure you will feel is money well spent. The menu is not huge, I see that as a positive with a professional chef it should result in good quality and well prepared food and it is. I booked on the Web site the response was quick which to me is a must. The service was good but no... View all feedback.
What Wiebke Bird dislikes about Deans:
Service was lacklustre, I do not appreciate being greeted by the waiter with a Hello, young ladies , at the best of times much less when he 's addressing my adult daughter and me. Next server was a very sour faced woman who clearly had better things to do than take our order or clear away food was OK, but way over seasoned. Atmosphere was try hard, with ridiculous prints of classic portraits, with the eyes wiped out... View all feedback.

I travel alone so often go out for an evening meal on my own. I booked a table for 1,and felt like this was resented by staff. I was sat near the bar/door to kitchen facing exactly where waiting staff stand, waiting for the food...
Visited with a friend for a long overdue catch up. Service was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere good. Highlights of our visit were the cocktails and the desert. Going on other reviews I was concerned about comments relating to too much salt. My main course was...
We came for a pre-theatre dinner and were immediately impressed by the atmosphere and the friendly welcome. The food was well presented and delicious with some imaginative taste combinations. Both the lamb and the venison dishes were tender and tasty and the wines of good...
Order a cocktail… most of them are very good. Espresso Martini is my thing… and this was good. Food delicious and beautifully presented and prepared. Staff are welcoming attentive and friendly without being bothersome. Prices have crept up a bit over recent times but perhaps...
The restaurant experience was outstanding from beginning to end. The service was attentive and relaxed. We were impressed that the chef personally delivered our meals to the table and knew exactly who ordered each dish without having to ask. The staff also checked in to see if we needed anything else. The food was excellent, of high quality, and offered great value for the price. We will definitely be returning soon.

Wonderful experience. Superb service and wonderful food. A special occasion for us, and they certainly did not disappoint. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
1st visit and cant fault a thing service, food and atmosphere outstanding highly recommended soup spicy but very tasty steak melts in your mouth and chicken juicy
We were referred to Deans for cocktails and we were not disappointed. The cocktail menu was extensive with many drinks we had never tried before. We sampled a few, but our favorite was the kiwi lime daiquiri. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself was beautiful. We were in Perth for three nights and decided to return on our second night because we had such a wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful Sunday Brunch at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the welcome we received was not great. We had booked with an Itison voucher and were asked for it before even taking off our coats or being shown to our table. This was a bit off-putting, but the quality of the food and service made up for it. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. It was just a shame that the lady who took our voucher seemed a bit unhappy.
Outstanding food and service and great value for money. The owners, chef, kitchen staff and waiting staff should be proud of the product and service offered. Perfect in every way. The quality of the food and exceptional service sets this restaurant apart from the rest. I’m not one for going over the top but Deans is simply outstanding and I can’t recommend it highly enough. A return visit is guaranteed next time we are in Perth.

The menu is not huge, I see that as a positive with a professional chef it should result in good quality and well prepared food and it is. I booked on the Web site the response was quick which to me is a must. The service was good but not 5 star the drinks waiter was unable to recite the selection of rums available at the bar. This is an issue to be sorted by front of house. The food was delivered quickly; hot ;and we presented. My group had the sea Brean and the venison. Full marks in that area. One sweet was ordered lemon meringue pie. Again full marks. Put all this into a warm 25c evening was perfect.

Phoned to book for 1 pm and told only had a table at 12.30 pm. Arrived to an empty restaurant and after 3 courses it was only half full when we left. Minor point that there was a limited selection of beer available as they did not have not everything on the menu, fine for larger and pale ales. Cannot fault the food, the cheese soufflé is so light and delectable, the whisky sauce was delicious and I would have loved a smidgen more. The chicken main course was moist and tasty, again served with a beautifully made sauce. However I could not taste the chicken in the crispy confit chicken leg through the amount of wholegrain mustard which was the only thing that spolied the dish for me. (I did mention it). Finished with strawberry creme brule with basil sorbet and realise that basil sorbet is not my thing. Would still recommend as each dish was beautifully presented and expertly made.
