We were traveling to Geneva Airport along by the lak... read more This was a fabulous find thanks to TripAdvisor as we never would have found this typical French restaurant. We were traveling to Geneva Airport along by the lake and we needed to stop for lunch. This little village is tucked away off the main road in amongst Vineyards. It's really charming and very quiet. We found the restaurant thanks to the Sat Nav and it's on the corner of a narrow one way street but just continue past and there is a small public car park. On entering the restaurant we were amazed to see so many people eating on a Wednesday lunch time the place was buzzing ! We were welcomed by a friendly young girl and shown to a table ! This is a very French restaurant and they did not speak English and it was full of local French people. Unfortunately because we did not arrive until after 1.30pm we were unable to have the special menu for two at €72, we had to order off the a la carte ! However we had already decided that this was going to an expensive special meal so we didn't mind! My husband had the Entrecôte steak which came with a delicious selection a fresh vegetables and either ' pommes frites' or new potatoes and I had the the 'Filet de Perche 'a speciality of the region ! To start we enjoyed the house salad it's was so delicious with walnuts and lardens and an incredible dressing, my husband said this was the best salad he had ever had !! Both our main meals were superb . My husbands steak was cooked to perfection and cut like butter. The Filets of Perche were outstanding and came with a delicious homemade tartare sauce. This is one of the best meals we have had in a while. We drunk a bottle of local wine and finished off the meal with a delicious coffee. It was an expensive meal but worth every penny for the fabulous service and delicious food ! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely come back again, but will try and get there earlier!
