Contribute Feedback What Juliette Gros likes about Le Jacques 1er:
We needed lunch on a Monday in Perpignan, and the best places seemed to be closed, so we headed for a small hotel on the edge of the old town with its own parking. Recommended by Michelin. The place needed a good sweeping of the path from the parking to the resto, which was littered with fallen leaves. We were the only customers, but were made to feel welcome by staff who might have been happy to have no work to do.... View all feedback.
What Olivie Gomez doesn't like about Le Jacques 1er:
The bed was the most comfortable that we've had on our recent tour of the Pyrenees, but there were a few drawbacks. The kettle leaked everywhere and soaked everything we'd left on the desk. The plug in the back didn't seal, so the bath never filled beyond about 5cm. The tops of the walls in our room looked a little and the extractor in the bathroom was just a hole in the wall with a vent cover that didn't fit loosely... View all feedback.
Very good quality price! a Mediterranean map with tuna, lotte, salads, all articulated around a simple and cheap menu. service by the pool. the wine map could be more elaborate.
I went there several times, and the last time I clarified that I loved their poached foie gras. Although not being on the map the leader is proposed to make me one. which is very rare in our time.
In a peaceful setting, beautiful swimming pool, shaded and quiet terrace, menus at 17 and 23 € are of excellent quality. French cuisine offers a wide choice that will satisfy everyone's tastes. A very good address to the south of the city center of Perpignan, on the way to the Espan.
We celebrated the anniversary of our three children with a lunch for 71 guests. The steps, the menu to be put in place, the table layout... everything was very easy.We were listened, advised for a meal without a false note and with a perfect service. A real happiness that everyone shared (we had many congratulations on our choice of restaurant.)After the meal, the young people were able to enjoy the pool and the sun loungers ;) until late in the afternoon.A great bravo to the whole team.
A map or each course seems to have been well studied, harmonious, very well present and very good.I regularly go there since the new director was put in function and I am very pleasantly surprised. Especially since I was a customer since his opening in the late 1970s, the entrances like mountain ham or home foie gras as well as the st jacco shells will not disappoint you. In the dish, the beef fillet suits me perfectly. For those who prefer the sea, the skewer of the lotte and gambas is a nice plate. The desserts! all good and home seems to be there! sublime orange crêpes, chocolate melting... melting and tiramisu.... nice and hearty. The view of the garden, the swimming pool and the mountains is very relaxing, all overlooking the commercial heart of the sprawling road to perpignan while being quiet.Bravo and I hope that this resurection will further develop by continuing the modernization effort in progress. Come rediscover this very well-known place, which has been the time but such phenix reborn from its ashes.
