Description

The Bakehouse offers a mixed dining experience with some diners enjoying the excellent food and attentive service, while others were disappointed with the lack of seasoning on main courses and the limited menu options. The atmosphere varied with some finding it quiet and lacking ambiance, while others appreciated the relaxed and welcoming setting. Overall, the restaurant is recommended for its interesting dishes, engaging service, and delicious desserts, but may not be suitable for those looking for a wider variety of menu options.

Would 100% recommend eating at this restaurant!! I contacted Kim and Gary who own and run it, the month before my girlfriend’s birthday to organise 20 of us to go for a meal and from start to finish they were amazing. I had decorations that they kindly put up for me, the food on the day was fantastic (steak was awesome) but my partner is a vegetarian-so plenty of options available!! Everything about this place is brilliant-a true hidden gem, looking forward to next time-thank you!!

Had a really lovely meal here last night for my partners birthday, so glad we picked this place. A really pretty cosy restaurant with good vibes. The food was literally outstanding! The bread rolls with the butter were delicious, great starters and I had the best steak I believe I have ever had in my life, it was cooked to perfection. Loved the drinks and the two ladies who served us were so polite and lovely would definitely come back here again the next time we visit Cornwall. :

Nice restaurant. Well presented and proportioned dishes. Hake was beautiful. Local Cornish wine worth a try. Friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more!

Really great family meal. Service was excellent, friendly and informative. Food was delicious, I had the calamari broth, full of flavour. Main was The hake, again beautifully cooked and super tasty. My husband had the rib eye steak which tasted incredible and my daughter had the calamari to start followed by shell on prawns (an adjustment they made for her) as she doesn’t like batter or breadcrumbs, which she thoroughly enjoyed finished off with their home made vanilla ice cream for pudding, this was exceptional……so good in fact that we ordered a bowl for us. Really a great restaurant, we all left feeling happy, full and incredibly lucky to have felt such a gem of a place to eat. Can’t recommend this place enough
