I couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome. The place was spotlessly clean with a bright room and a large fluffy towel. The full English breakfast with thick cut bacon was amazing. What Matt Hackleton doesn't like about The Swordfish Inn:
We were unable to afford staying at this restaurant this weekend. It was a shame, as it was not the same as the experience we had in April. The prices were very high. Even though I missed my train and reservation, they were kind enough to let me use the bathroom and enjoy breakfast upon my arrival. I am extremely grateful to them. The pub is also fantastic with great pictures of old Newlyn, a wonderful beer garden, and they welcomed my dog from the summer before. They also have a big HD screen for Rugby fans. Thank you once again; I will definitely be returning.
The restaurant was very warm and lively on Saturday. It was clear that there was no shortage of drinks available, with a good selection of beer and wine.
I went to this restaurant yesterday for drinks. I am from Taunton and support the Exeter Chiefs. The atmosphere was great. I saw Luke Cowen Dickie and some friends of Jack Nowell. I didn't realize that Jack Nowell actually owns the pub.
We instantly enjoyed the restaurant as soon as we entered. The service and atmosphere were great. We only had one drink because we were on a pub crawl, but we are excited to return on Monday.
