Description

This Pennington Mexican restaurant offers flavorful dishes, attractive decor, and loyal regulars, making it a popular spot for casual meals and large gatherings. However, experiences vary: many praise the food and atmosphere while others report rude service, order mistakes, inconsistent pricing, and occasional confrontations from staff or management. Phone and pickup interactions have caused frustration for some guests. Overall, great for food-driven visits and group events, but families and diners who expect consistently polite, reliable service should be cautious.

Great food here! Only thing that would make it better is if it was delivered with Doordash!?

The guy that answers the phone needs a rain check. Big dude, no idea what his name is. We go in there every time and get steak street tacos. This time I called ahead for pickup. Got tells me they don’t sell that there and that I called the wrong place and need to go over the menu again. I know it’s the same guy cause he always has a problem when people go in there. You lost our business.

I was not happy with the service. We were the only family in the restaurant at the time so they were quick but the portions were small compared to other restaurants in the area that are exactly the same. Also the waiter we were given barely spoke English. I understand English not being their first language but he didn 't even understand when I was trying to ask him what drinks they had and he didn 't understand my order either. I asked for 2 kids meals #2 with a soft taco, had to repeat multiple times and when we received it, it was a hard shell taco. I got my girls to eat what they were given because I didn 't want the hassle of explaining the order was wrong. Another family came in, they were ordering the drinks and also had to repeat multiple times. They wanted 2 waters, one kid one adult and 2 teas, one kid and one adult. After the waiter walked off he yelled something in Spanish, my 15 year old laughed. When I asked her what, she told me he just yelled That lady was confusing. She is learning Spanish at school but is not confident speaking it. I found that to be very rude and unprofessional even if I didn 't understand him, what if they other family was able to understand Spanish and heard what he said? When it was time to check out the person at the register was also very rude, seemed annoyed he had to ring me up at all. I will not be going back, I 'll stick to the better location in Big Stone.Just looked at previous reviews and the owner responds to bad reviews and half of them have NOTHING to do with what is said or they just say Thank You . What a joke!
