We had modest expectations going in as we were traveling and had to grab a bite to eat on the road. The atmosphere was like a good hometown place. The servers were attentive and very pleasant. We were delightfully rewarded with some very very goodfood. I started off with an Irish coffee that had a little kick to it. My entree was the Fish Fry. Tasty and a great portion. The cole slaw was good as well. My wife had the shrimp scampi. We have had many shrimp scampi on the road and have beendisappointed over and over again. Not here.. Not this time. The shrimp were freshly prepared and tender. The pasta cooked tonear perfection. And the sauce had just enough balance of garlic, butter, wine, and with a hint of lemon to delight thesediners. Also the sauce adhered to the pasta with just the right consistency. It wasn't too sticky nor too thin. Highlyrecommended Thanks for a wonderful meal that capped a good day of exploring the area around Penn Yan.
The team at Keuka Restaurant made our special night perfect and amazing. The owner went out of his way to work with us and make a smaller menu and even made sure to throw in the apps ahead of time while we drove to the packed restaurant on Friday evening! We are so grateful for such amazing service staff who took care of us and the stellar kitchen staff who put love into theirdelicacies! Would recommend, without hesitation, to anyone who is getting married or having a wedding rehearsal dinner. It wasflawless and went off without a hitch!
Nice location and we also had a very sweet and friendly waiter tonight, however despite more waiters are roaming the restaurant, ours was all over the place. Due to the fact that she was very busy, we had to wait long for putting in an order, order new drinks and eventually dessert. For the long wait, the kids got a cheesecake for free. Nice! So, still I'd say service4 stars but in general, management should make all the waiters work. The food: Was okay, nothing special. Altogether a ok'ishexperience. You can go and habe dinner at that place. Ah, and they charge you 4% for using a credit card. ???????
After visiting the Wind Mill we stopped in Penn Yan for lunch at the Keuka Restaurant. My wife has a BBQ burger with sweet potato fries and I had a burger with bacon and Mac cheese on the burger with onion rings. Both were cooked to our liking.Would definitely visit again when in the area.
