What User doesn't like about British indian Restaurant:
We were disappointed to discover that the chef was not working on the Saturday night we visited, so there were no samosas or naan available. We also ordered poppadums, which arrived greasy and without any dips. When I inquired about a chutney or yogurt dip, the server seemed confused. The curry was average, but it seemed like it had been reheated. View all feedback.

The restaurant seems to be run by a fairly young couple (you might even spot their kids in the backrooms!). Service from one pair of the couple was a little cool - she flatly told us that naans were not available - while the partner seemed to be a little more concerned about our overall experience of the place. Portions in the several curries we had were quite generous, but the parathas were way too expensive in my opinion, and indeed, a little too oily. The place could also use some refurbishment. It looks a little dated.
We managed to get some curry here, finally, after trying to find out when it was open. We had a meal on Saturday night after trying each night from the previous Tuesday. No-one locally could help us either with opening times. We ordered chicken biryani, chickpea curry, aloo ghobi, paratha and steamed rice. The bill seemed very cheap for all the food. 20mins later we were back to collect and asked the 'owner' about opening times. Apparently, it will be open soon all 7 days of the week. Pity we shall miss more opportunity to visit. When we got our take-away home, the reason for the lower than expected cost was apparent, no chicken biryani. However what we had we enjoyed. The chickpea curry was in fact pea curry with potato, nice, but we had more potato in the aloo ghobi. The paratha could also have benefitted from being a bit crispier as they were very oily. Naan bread was not available on the night we visited. We did not actually miss the chicken dish and would have had too much food if we'd had that too. We would look forward to revisiting but would make sure our order was correctly taken. Food could also have been a little bit spicier.
Nice clean restaurant. Nice layout but the food i found although very fresh tasteless. We ordered the butter chicken which really didn't have alot of flavour but plenty of chicken! The garlic naan was dry and a little hard to swallow but the butter bread was so good!
Good food and lovely service. Good to have another option other than the pub. Be nice to see him have more support. Recommend this place.
