We chose to have for lunch the tortellini wit... read more This small café in the heart of Peccioli has great pasta, pastries and a good selection of locally produced wines. We chose to have for lunch the tortellini with ragu and enjoyed it immensely! Alessandra was our server gracious, friendly and unassuming. We were too full for dessert but I bought some almond cookies to take home and they were delicious. We will definitely make a return visit!

We came back two days later, met some Italian neighbors in the door, who had been there to eat something, and Francesco's Mamma already knew who we were, when we looked at an espresso maker made of chocolate... apparently he had talked about us (it was low season and there were few Danish tourists, but still! . If we had bought even more than we did, we would have needed another suitcase!

I was looking for a Brunello wine to bring home to my husband in the United States and Francesco had a beautiful 2018 on the shelf! Not only did we receive excellent service but the food was delicious, and my husband said the wine was also excellent! We will be back in 2 months and cannot wait to stop in here again!
