The food here is incredibly delicious! It's authentic Cantonese cuisine made with really fresh ingredients, and the prices are quite reasonable. They offer excellent free-range chicken for hotpot, too. I highly recommend this hidden gem! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ym House Group:
The abalone and sea cucumber were not tender, which was a waste for such seafood since both were the main components of the dish. The price seemed inflated as a result. However, the desserts still maintained a high standard. View all feedback.
Food is good, they have some rare Asian style dessert. Average service. Toilet is barely acceptable.
Only desserts and hot pot are delicious, others I think are good
We were particularly eager to sample their famous Sautéed Pork Intestines with Hot Pepper, which is certainly not for the faint of heart. The ingredients practically dissolve in your mouth, and the flavors are beautifully balanced — a must-try for the daring! The Sweet and Sour Pork, served in a hollowed-out pineapple, was another highlight. With its deep-fried pork topped with a distinctive sauce and the refreshing taste of pineapple, this dish proved to be surprisingly filling and absolutely delightful. Other dishes we enjoyed included Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetables, Steamed Chicken with Salted Ginger, Sautéed Chinese Broccoli, and a Casserole of Salted Fish and Eggplant. Each dish was rich in flavor and left a lasting impression. One aspect that truly stands out is their renowned desserts. Rather than relying on pre-prepared menu items, YM House takes the time to craft some of the best Hong Kong-style desserts in Sydney. The perfection achieved from a blend of fresh ingredients like mango, sago, herbal jelly, red bean, durian, and coconut milk is truly remarkable. Overall, we had a fantastic meal and can’t wait to return to explore more of their dishes and desserts!
It's a shame they no longer serve lunch on weekdays. The variety has become quite limited lately. The service is decent, though.
