However, both visits exceeded my expectati... read more I've been to the Hungry Hunter twice, mainly because my job as a truck driver means I don’t always have time to stop. However, both visits exceeded my expectations. The food was fantastic—truly homemade—and the service was exceptional. I dined solo among the post-church crowd, yet I still received top-notch service. The Spivey family was incredibly welcoming, and I was so impressed that I took a business card to remind me of this wonderful spot. I’m looking forward to returning at the first opportunity!

There's always plenty of food available on the buffet. We live in Waycross and don't mind the drive to Patterson just to enjoy a meal at Dawn's Hungry Hunter. Dawn herself is a genuinely friendly person who welcomes you personally and ensures everything is to your satisfaction. If you haven't been there yet, I definitely recommend visiting on a Friday night—trust me, you won't be disappointed!

We discovered that the best time to visit is around 8 to 8:30, after the rush, because it tends to get quite busy earlier. During peak times, they sometimes struggle to keep up with demand in the kitchen.
