All dishes had very complicated sauces, which were all very similar, and which masked the actual taste of the dish. I had the impression of having very similar dishes in different variations. Quite noisy overall, which is what you expect from a bar ambiance. Very friendly service, which was the only highlight!

Absolutely necessary to book in advance, because it is only a small place.

The ceviche and duck I received were beautiful and left a party of flavours in my mouth. The owners truly made you feel special with their care to you. I would highly recommend this restaurant, but make sure you make a reservation. This is a small restaurant with a very intimate setting. You fedl that you are around friends at El Refugio. I will definitely be back.
