This was a traditional seafood restaurant serving everything from fresh ceviches to seafood paellas and grilled fresh catch. Not cheap, but a wide array of preparations and types of seafood. Would recommend reservations, even for lunch as they were very very busy on the weekday when we were here.
Eaten here many times and never have a complaint great seafood and service every time quality is perfect, not cheap for Spain but you don’t eat here if you are price conscious
The starters and salads were good. Otherwise the rating would be a 1. The paella was not good. Way over salted. Very little seafood. And the price in the menu is per person. So at €52 for the paella it was a complete rip off with so little seafood.
Hotel recommendations are not always reliable but this one was and it’s in the DK Top 10 Valencia book. And we’d definitely recommend it too! Very large and atmospheric inside but we chose outside which was comfortable even in spite of torrential rain! Our waiter was very helpful with advice both on food and wine. Bit disappointing that there was no sole but the sea bass we had instead was excellent. Our friends had the sea bass baked in salt which looked impressive, was beautifully prepared at the table by the waiter and was very tender. 5 stars
The fish at this upscale restaurant was fresh, well cooked delicious. However, the welcome from the manageress was far from friendly. We eventually opted to sit up at the counter where we saw the fish selection. Having asked how much “red prawns” were accepted the price to order 4, we added 8 x what we thought were regular prawns only when we got the bill saw that they were over 10 Euros each! Where it’s market price by weight I feel it’s incumbent upon a restaurant to declare the price before cooking. So…. Great fish but beware the price don’t expect friendly service!
