Was ginas at Drift 82 a mag?
We used to really enjoy this restaurant, but they’ve updated their menu. The food remains good, though it’s not quite the same as it used to be. We felt a little disappointed. View all feedback.
What Robert Madonia dislikes about Drift 82:
Food and environment are good, but prices have SKYROCKETED. It’s ridiculously expensive for a mid level restaurant. Last time I was there, for 1 app, 2 entrees, and a bottle of wine, with a dessert to share, it cost us $280!! Drift, you are not THAT good. Chill with your prices. They are way too high. People are upset. View all feedback.

I’ve tried a lot of restaurants and Drift 82 has, by far, the best yellow fin tuna around. Always great food, nice atmosphere and often live music. Awesome choice for south shore dining.
We really liked Drift 82. Only reason for 4 and not 5 stars was I felt the menu could 've offered just a little more. The place wasn 't packed by any means but I could see if it was, parking could be an issue here. We skipped appetizers and went right toordering entrees. The lobster mac was good but could use more lobster. The sauce was creamy and had a great cheddar flavor. The lobster stuffed ravioli was just okay and my nephews chicken fingers were perfect. My sister in law opted for the lobsterbisque, she said it was delicious and the Caesar salad which was huge! I decided to just go with the calamari. That too wasdelicious, wonderfully crisp batter over succulent squid and the marinara sauce was very good. After seeing another tablesorder of scallops being delivered I realized that was what i should have ordered. It normally would have been, but when thechef came over to go through the specials with us, his lackluster description just couldn 't get me there. Everyone agreed thedrinks were cold and tasty and the usual offerings of dessert, cheesecake, tiramisu etc just didnt ring any bells so we declineddessert. All in all, a great place to stop in for dinner. They had a live one man band who sounded pretty good but theacoustics weren 't great and honestly, this place had some incredibly loud diners. If you 're in the area and have a hankeringfor seafood, in a place on the docks, Drift 82 is it.
Came here on a Friday evening, should have made reservations. Sat at the seats next to the Tiki Bar, had an extremely limited menu (maybe 5 items and the rest raw bar. Had the steak tidbits and calamari, both were very good. They had a band playing aswell. Will go back, and make reservations first. Nice spot on the water with good food.
What can I say this is my favorite spot you can't go wrong with her awesome food they opened up for Valentine's and I went there just to meet some of my friends they had a special! Blacken shrimp over Quinoa and avocado .. it was so yummy and the perfectportion.. I enjoy the atmosphere and my taste buds always get surprised.. plus the staff are super genuinely nice.. I even got arose before I left ????
Dinner with friends. Outdoor seating was awesome facing the Marina. Food was fresh and tasty. My Seabass dish was really nice. The scallops my friend had was equally tasty, not rubbery, cooked to perfection. Only drawback was the service which wasextremely slow. We had Calamari starters which was yummy then had to wait almost 40 mins for our entrées. Other than this,I’d say definitely worth a visit for the scenery and fresh tasting seafood.

Food, atmosphere staff was amazing as always thank you!! Never a bad experience here Vicky C
Our waitress was incredible. Patient, answered our questions regarding items on the menu Perfectly. She did such a great presentation with the Dover Sole was very impressive.. we had a great dining experience!
Delicious food and great service, we were the only table of diners there were a few at the bar. Perhaps this is due to the cost!

I opted for a dinner of just appetizers and it was the best decision I ever made. I tried three different dishes. The Oysters Rockefeller were amazing, filled with bacon, cheese, and spinach. The Lamb chops were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and you could pick them up like a lollipop. The Steak tidbits were even more impressive, with bite-sized, tender beef that was easy to chew. They were seasoned with a sauce that was so delicious, you'll want to lick it up.
The food was delicious, the restaurant is conveniently located in the Marina area, and the service was excellent. We visited for lunch and found the menu to have a good selection of items, although not extensive. I ordered the Drift tacos and they were delicious. I highly recommend them!
The food is consistently delicious at this restaurant. It has a pleasant waterfront location and the outdoor bar is a great spot to enjoy a drink and appetizers.
Food was great! Great atmosphere. Bartender was amazing! Definitely my new favorite place.
We went there to celebrate a birthday. It was a Tuesday night, so it wasn 't crowded. I heard it 's packed on a weekend, especially during the summer. The lamb chop appetizer and calamari were great appetizers to share. I really enjoyed my mahi mahi prepared in a garlic wine sauce and my daughter enjoyed her lobster ravioli. The only thing that was disappointing was their award winning bisque. It was bland with only one chunk of seafood. I 've had much better elsewhere. But everything else was delicious. It is ala carte, so it can get pricy, but we had a lovely dinner.

Experience an exquisite dinner at this restaurant! Expect to spend between $50 to $100 per person, but it's worth it for the delicious dishes they offer. Make sure to try the Oyster Rockefeller, Scallops with Risotto, and the TNT Salad - they come highly recommended. Bon appétit!
I discovered this amazing restaurant on OpenTable. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. I will certainly be returning in the future. The overall rating is 5 out of 5 for both the food and service, with a 4 for atmosphere. Some recommended dishes include the Scallops with Risotto. There is plenty of parking available, including a free parking lot.
I recently dined at this restaurant for lunch and it was fantastic. The price per person was between $50 to $100. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top notch, with a rating of 5 for each category. I highly recommend trying the Oyster Rockefeller, Steak Tid Bits, Caprese Salad, Ahi Tuna Wrap, and Coconut Shrimp.

I have been to many restaurants, and Drift 82 definitely serves the best yellow Fin Tuna. The food is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is beautiful, and they often have live music. It's a great option for dinner on the southern bank.
Had dinner with friends at this restaurant. We sat outside with a view of the marina. The food was fresh and delicious. My Seabass dish was especially good. My friend's scallops were also delicious, perfectly cooked and not rubbery. The only drawback was the extremely slow service. We enjoyed the Calamari starter but then had to wait almost 40 minutes for our main courses. Despite this, I would still recommend visiting for the beautiful scenery and fresh seafood.

We ordered the Steak Tidbits and Calamari, both of which were delicious. There was also live music playing. I would recommend making a reservation before returning to this beautiful waterfront restaurant with great food.

Drift 82 has great food, exceptional water views, and are doing things very safely for all patrons. The live music in Summer was a nice touch. Go just before sunset and you won't be disappointed ?? UPDATE: Returned Feb2021 for the winter igloo and had an extremely pleasant experience. Food amazing and igloo is like your own private dining experience; well worth the igloo fee ?
