Fir time trying them. Delicious! Ordered a variety of bao buns and everything was great. Will definitely order from them again.
The chicken on the sandwich is the size of a chicken nugget and its wrapped in a raw tasting puffy bun. All 3 chicken sandwiches we ordered were very overcooked, hard as a rock and dry. Terrible was expecting so much more.
Bird Bao offers delicious and affordable Korean sandwiches served on a sweet bun, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Everything is freshly prepared and definitely worth trying. Each sandwich is a true masterpiece. The staff runs the place efficiently, keeping it clean and providing quick service—food usually arrives within 10 minutes of ordering. My favorite is The Patchog, featuring pork belly as the main ingredient. The Blackbird is also great, made with crispy chicken, black sesame, and a black vinegar glaze. My least favorite is The Nutty Professor, which contains crispy tofu, peanuts, and peanut sauce, but I found it a bit bland. I highly recommend Bird Bao if you're ever on the South Shore. It’s a perfect spot for a date or a group of friends for lunch or dinner. Although the space is quite small and has a takeout vibe, there’s plenty of street parking and nearby lots, some free for local Patchogue residents.
I have a genuine question—can I somehow inject this restaurant's food directly into my veins? It's absolutely the best! I've ordered from here countless times.
Baos and fries? Yes, please! This charming bao fusion spot in the village offers a great variety of bao fillings and sides. The cozy space has plenty of seating options. I tried the Nutty Professor and the Slaw—both were absolutely delicious! Fresh, high-quality ingredients matter to me, and Bird Bao delivers. The portion sizes were just right. If you want more food, try the Bird Box special or order multiple baos.
