Their Caesar salad is simple and straightforward, yet tastes great. I would have liked a bit more greens, but the portion was fine. Considering the price we paid, I appreciated the clear breakdown of the cooking charge. Our total wasn’t bad at all, especially since we ordered a lot: a 1.4kg steak and two salpicao dishes (one was doubled by mistake, but we just went with it since it was good). Each steak order comes with green beans, corn, and steak rice. Some dishes, like the salpicao, come with garlic rice as well. However, I have some reservations about the service. They seemed a bit confused about who had reservations and who didn’t. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation, but they seated another group who clearly weren’t us, as they thought we were part of that group. Waiting 15 minutes past our reservation time was acceptable, but there were no updates on when we would be seated. When they finally asked us to come in, they didn’t specify where to sit, so we just picked an empty table and had to request the menu. There was no service water available; bottled water was fine but it also took some time to arrive even though it was pre-packaged. I didn’t like the table by the door, but that’s just a personal preference. The layout could definitely be improved—it felt a bit cramped, although I understand they want to accommodate more customers. Maybe a seating arrangement by the cooking area where you can watch the chefs at work would be nice? The small space did mean you could hear conversations from other tables easily. Also, the oily smell lingered and gave me a slight headache—maybe from eating too much steak! What I really appreciate about this place is the relaxed vibe—you don’t have to dress up. You can come as you are and enjoy a good steak without any judgment. This was recommended to me by two trusted friends, and honestly, it’s a great spot for good, simple steak and salad. I tried both the rib eye and the T-bone, and both were delicious, with the rib eye definitely being the standout. Their steaks are ideal for sharing and come with one rice and gravy—though honestly, the gravy isn’t necessary because the steak tastes excellent on its own. Steak.ph also offers retail sales of steak and other cured meats. Parking can be a bit challenging since you need to park along the side streets. The restaurant tends to be busier on weekends than weekdays. When I visited on a Friday at 9 PM, it wasn’t very crowded, but the following Saturday it was packed, and we were lucky to snag a corner table. Additional helpful details: reservations are accepted, they don’t provide tap water but sell bottled water for Php 30, and unfortunately, they do not honor PWD or senior discounts as noted on the menu.
