If I could give negative stars, I absolutely would. To start, we had to repeat our order three times at the ordering box, twice at the window, and once when a staff member came out to check on us in the parking lot. We paid at 8:15 PM, yet six customers who arrived after us at the drive-thru received their food before we did. After we paid, we were informed that it would take four minutes for the chicken to cook for our sandwich. After waiting patiently outside, I went inside at 8:48. Unfortunately, none of the staff greeted me when I entered. The woman who eventually brought our food was completely un apologetic about the long wait and became confrontational when I inquired about our order. She insisted that she had mentioned it would take four minutes for the chicken, but we had actually been waiting for 33 minutes. I pointed out that they had served at least six customers who came after us. In response, she simply handed us our order, but our drinks were missing. When I brought this to her attention, she rudely retrieved them for us, and they were only filled three-quarters of the way. There was no kindness or apology, just poor service, an extended wait, and our food was both burnt and cold.
The restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly, patient, and helpful. The food is delicious, and the Root Beer has the classic taste that brings back memories—absolutely delightful!
I have a suggestion regarding the drive-thru experience at this restaurant. It can be quite frustrating when the staff consistently greet patrons with, "Can I help you?" every time someone approaches the drive-thru. This has been a persistent issue for the past year or two, and it may stem from management's direction. Instead, a more welcoming approach, such as "Hello, what can I get started for you?" or "Hi there, order whenever you're ready," would create a friendlier atmosphere. It feels like every drive-thru attendant is instructed to use that phrase, but it's not particularly pleasant since it's obvious that customers are there to order food. Adding a simple "hello" or "hi" would certainly make the experience more inviting.
