I went to this restaurant for happy hour. They have a great menu selection, ranging from oysters to charcuterie. I began with the oysters, which were very fresh and delicious, and then tried the tuna tartare.
We have to place 38 often. This visit and an earlier visit were disappointing that the service was missing. We waited a very long time for the order and also a fairly long time for our meal. The pork sandwich was filled with fat and not served as ordered. We asked for Koleslaw on the side without onions and it came with both. Don't think we'll book this restaurant again.
I find Plate 38 a to be real neighborhood jewel. Wonderful and interesting daily specialties.
Our first visit, but definitely not our last one. Varied small and large plate selections, tried many and all well. A little loud on a weekday at 5:30, but food was on it and also excellent service (that was a great waiter!
