I've been coming to this location since high school times and they have their own ring that's different from all the fancy donuts these days. Sometimes you just want a good o tradition donut with a normal sugar or chocolate glaze. No need to decorate, no need to add fancy ingredients, just a decent price donut that fills me up. What User doesn't like about Winchell's Donut House:
I ordered donuts from The Shoppers, expecting a dozen, but I only received 12 instead of the usual 14 they advertise. When I called the shop to inquire, a staff member named Jose informed me that it was up to Claudia, the manager/owner, to decide the order size. It’s disappointing, Claudia. View all feedback.
Donut was not fresh and coffee was brittle. Throw in the trash waste of money. We were not treated right because we are white.

Just bought four donuts at Winchell's next to Von's in Pasadena. Consistently clean, smells good inside, well lit and overflowing with very fresh donuts. The pretty young lady with red hair makes the best donuts. I'm a creature of habit, chocolate and glazed donuts. I wish I could check six-seven stars.
The breakfast bowl here is nothing special. The microwaved eggs, shredded cheese, and ham bits could easily be thrown together at home. At the very least it fills an empty stomach. Even though the place was empty on Friday at noon, the woman at the counter was curt, unfriendly, and not very helpful when I was making my order. Well I guess you get what you pay for.
Old donut(s) I don't eat donuts often, but I have had 3 bad experiences at this location where I received a donut that was old. By old I don't mean that it wasn't still fresh, I mean stale. The 3rd and worst of the experience was today, I received a buttermilk maple donut that was beyond old. I took a bite of it and knew right away that it was bad, then I took one more bite just to make sure and the donut as well as the bite in my mouth went into the trash. What is worse is that the last time that I was here over a month ago that I also received an old/stale donut. I mentioned it to the young woman who sold it to me today after I went to the ATM after buying the donut today but she didn't seem to care. Seems like bad management ????
