I usually love Shipley Donuts and prefer them over other places. However, this time the apple fritter was burned and dry. I also ordered a dozen Thunderholes, b... read more I usually love Shipley Donuts and prefer them over other places. However, this time the apple fritter was burned and dry. I also ordered a dozen Thunderholes, but received only eleven, and the prices were higher than average. I would recommend going to Snowflake Donuts instead.

The older Hispanic lady at the shop told me there weren’t enough, even though I could clearly see more in the back. When I pointed this out, she said there was only one dozen available. So, I ended up getting one dozen filled donuts and another dozen regular donuts. While she was filling my regular donuts, they brought out a whole new tray of sprinkle donuts. This is why I prefer to support local businesses rather than large retailers! I’ll stick with my local donut shop, Donald Donuts, in Deer Park!
