Sam Ramen - Pasadena

Takoyaki?s were good and flavorful. Spicy miso ramen Black Bean ramen had good flavor but that was really it. The sliced veggies were really big and hard to eat. Brussel sprouts I probably wouldn?t get again. At the end of it it turns into a extra saucy soup. Service was good at the beginning but at the end it started to taper off. I can understand if it?s busy but if we?re the only people eating? Overall it was ok, service needs a bit of work and I have noticed a help needed sign so they might be understaffed too.

Decided to give this place a try on 10/29/2021. The setting was nice but the host lacked enthusiasm, was not very welcoming as she was more consumed with her AirPods and smart phone. We were seated promptly (not busy at the time we visited) and had a nice view of their big screen TV. We ordered the: 1. Curry spicy miso- The food was not hot enough (lukewarm), the 1/2 egg was cold, was extremely salty, and overall lacked flavor. 2. Seafood Korean Ramen- Ramen tasted like a store bought package (Top Ramen or Maruchan Ramen brand) I would have prepared at home. The shrimp and the egg were over cooked and spice level was through the roof. If 5 is hot this was a 10 ???? 3. Yummy Chashu bun There was nothing ?yummy? about this. The meat stuffed inside was horrible but at least the bread it was encased in was soft; but bread is bread. Conclusion- Save yourselves the trouble, the disappointment, and your money.

I'm not a picky eater but I have to say, the service was good, but the food was not. Terribly thin dry old chicken and the ramen noodles were practically spaghetti. The egg in my ramen disintegrated in my mouth like it was made of powder. Made me a sad panda.

Brought my boys and we loved our chicken ramen it was delicious. It was sooooo good and well done and a great size. We had really Great service and we also had 2 Starbucks drinks and they allowed us to have them inside. They even have kids character chopsticks. Will definitely come back! Thanks

I ordered the veggie Ramen and overall it was really good. I finished the entire bowl! I do wish the Ramen noodles were better quality but not bad for some quick good Ramen. Now... I always judge a restaurant by their restrooms. The restrooms were not the cleanest. Staff was sitting around on their phones while restroom stayed horrible.
