When you place your order, they give you a pager, and you then pick up your food from a counter near the kitchen. Prior to COVID, they had wait staff to bring your food to you, but now you have to retrieve it yourself. Interestingly, despite their efforts to minimize staff, they don’t seem to prioritize cleaning the tables that customers are expected to clear. It’s often difficult to find a clean table in the dining area, and they typically only clean them if someone complains. Customers are left to eat at sticky tables, which I find quite puzzling.

They provide a great selection of beverages, with options for both regular and nonfat milk, including plant-based alternatives. The café draws a dedicated crowd throughout the day, including business professionals, students, and retirees. Most patrons are polite and absorbed in their own activities, reflecting the diverse demographics of this historic city and its surrounding middle-class neighborhoods. As a member of the sip club, the refreshing caffeine, satisfying carbs, proteins, and the overall vibe of the crowd keep me returning!
