Intelligentsia Coffee Pasadena Coffeebar

I'm really glad this location has reopened! The interior is stunning and feels very spacious. I ordered a regular latte made with Black Cat espresso, and everything about it was perfect—the foam, the espresso, and the temperature. This has definitely become my new favorite spot, and I've been looking for a place to work, read, or write. It's incredibly calming.

I used to love this place, but unfortunately, it has changed for the worse. I visited daily and was a big fan of their coffee. I was so eager for it to reopen that I frequently checked their Instagram for updates. However, when it finally opened, I was deeply disappointed. The ambiance has lost its warmth and charm and now feels more like a sterile hospital lobby trying too hard to keep up with trends. The espresso no longer has any character; it leaves you feeling empty and unsatisfied, and frankly, it tastes bad. On the bright side, the staff remains relatively friendly. However, there are now better options nearby that outshine this new version of the cafe. It truly deserved better.

I’m really glad this location has reopened, as I was eagerly anticipating their return! I absolutely love the vibes and atmosphere here. However, I was disappointed with the taste of their latte; it was quite watery and thin, which was a big change from what I remembered.

This place is fantastic! The sushi is amazing and the prices are great. It's definitely a restaurant we'll visit every time we're in Pasadena.
