My friend and I chose this place to eat lunch. We sat on the outside terrace, it was nice outside and clean. We had a few cocktails and I ordered her strawberry salad and candied bacon. Salad was delicious and fresh bacon was also amazing. Customer service was great. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Founders Tavern Grill:
This was the first and last trip to founders. While the server was nice, the food was bad. The crab dive was just a spicy orange cheese dip, we always wondered if it contained crab meat. My wife had a beat salad, that was just okay. My son and I had burgers licking like salt. They offer dinner small mason glasses for drinks that was on no help to use thirst salt victims. I really like their drink menu and their drink specials (very fun). The crab soup is really good (tomato vegetable with hint of spice). Really like the music they play as well (folksy 70s tunes). Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The atmosphere is lovely and the staff is friendly and attentive. I wasn't blown away by my open-faced roast beef dish, but the other main courses were enjoyed by my dining companions. The desserts, particularly the apple crumble and chocolate cake, were delicious and generously sized.
I was disappointed with my experience tonight. Despite their website stating they offer carryout cocktails, multiple staff members confirmed that this is not the case. When we mentioned the discrepancy, the waitress ignored us and walked away. The food was also subpar. We won't be coming back to this place. I did not enjoy the food at this restaurant. The service was average, and I dined in for lunch. The price per person was $20-$30. The food received a rating of 2, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 4.
We had the crab dip and the shrimp tacos. Both VERY good. Our server Dorthy was very good. Sat outside on a very large patio on a beautiful afternoon. A very enjoyable experience.
