La Tambouille - Parthenay

Enjoyed a great meal here delicious pizzas for the kids and duck/lamb confit for us adults! Too full to be tempted by dessert. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

Lovely food. Couldn't fault it. We had lamb shank and tuna steak for mains and cafe gourmands. All really lovely!

Noticed this restaurant wandering around parthenay it looked quite ok. we were the only customers and the owner seemed to also be the waiter and chef he was pleasant enough but the food let the place down. dry and shrivelled up snails and a steak...which was a rather tough and chewy. service was fine.

Found this by pure chance while driving around the town of Parthenay through the winding back streets. In reality it is only just off the main square. We arrived without reservation, restaurant was very quiet (not always a good sign) but the evening was getting...on so we decided to take a chance. The food was delightful. High quality, beautifully presented and very tasty. The staff were fun and attentive. We sat outside on the small terrace which was nice all the time there were no cars passing. Not a busy road but noisy when they DID pass.

We found this lovely restaurant by chance. excellent choice on the menu, prices are good too. Very good size portions and tasty food. The staff are friendly and helpful. Sitting inside or on a small terrace outside. Would go back.
