We had to wait almost an hour for the food and fish was way too salty even for me but it was delicious. Coffee was great either. Next time will try that fish and chips again but less salt for sure. View all feedback.
What German Willms doesn't like about Riverside Central Cafe:
Good restaurant. Pleasant spot ! Friendly staff but one of the waiters were a bit rude , he was pushing us to leave ! We had to remind him we still want to order juice before finishing the breakfast! View all feedback.
My wife and I had an amazing breakfast at the Riverside cafe. The new owner greeted us on arrival from behind the coffee machine, the staff were all friendly and nothing was a problem to them. The food.... I had hot cakes with yogurt & berry compote, yogurt & berries on the side to make room for the Extra bacon, sausage and maple syrup on the hot cakes! It was awesome, and again not a problem for the staff to organise. My wife had the avo smash with poached egg, and again it was awesome too! Great coffee and a great fruit frappe to top it off. Located right next to the ferry it's also convenient if your passing through.
Ideal place for a lazy breakfast with friends or a brunch date. They have seating inside inside. Serve is slow, now, they do not expect they do not hurry. I always had today's specials that are SPL menu elements for the day of regular objects. I have never been disappointed. Coffee is ok. Portion size is huge. They give the recipes little twist, which I like. Below is Benedict with salmon and French toast with yogurt that we had the last time.
My Aunty was visiting Sydney and wanted to get the Rivercat from Circular Quay to a Parramatta. She took that lovely cruise, and I met her at the Parramatta Wharf. There are a few cafes and restaurants around the Wharf area, I had a quick look around and decided on Riverside Central Cafe. What a gorgeous little place! Attentive staff, and as I think it's a small family business, it seemed Papa was wandering around keeping an eye on all the diners to see if they needed anything. He brought us water and cutlery and was just a gorgeous man. The owner, I presume, was friendly and welcoming and just wants everyone to be happy and enjoy themselves it seems. Nice atmosphere, clean and bright. The food was absolutely delicious, and very generous serves. I had the Riverside Specialty, which was chicken schnitzel with aioli, avocado, lettuce, tomato and Spanish onion. My Aunty had the pumpkin risotto, and my son had the wagyu beef burger. We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunches and will definitely return!
Quick stop in here for takeaway coffee before our ferry ride. Friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked through the door. Wish we had time to eat but maybe next time! Great coffee would recommend!
We spent Mother's Day lunch there today. Food was lovely however the advertised salmon wrapped in chicken should be stated it was tinned salmon. Bit disappointing. Otherwise a friendly place with good service.
