I ordered take away in March 2017 but have eaten in previously. I ordered duck curry, coconut rice and banana fritters with icecream. My order took 15 minutes as advised when I placed my order. The food was really delicious especially the coconut rice and the banana fritters. The bananas were covered in coconut before frying which gave them a delicious and crunchy texture. What User doesn't like about Kun Pim Thai Restaurant:
Pleasant enough restaurant with trendy, basic decor and a nice atmosphere. Unfortutale the food let it down. The Thai Green Curry was really sweet, like a lot of sugar had been added, although the roti was excellent. I had the prawn special, which I had asked about the heat of. The server said it was a hot dish but that it could be made mild, which I requested. I like a bit of chilli, but this was so hot my mouth was... View all feedback.
Took a friend along here and everyone really enjoyed their meal. In fact, the friend we took along actually said it was the best curry he'd ever had, and told the staff. He had the duck curry, and my husband had the Thai green curry with tofu. both had a lot of sauce, more like a soup, but with plenty of rice they managed to mop it up. I had the chicken pad thai, which was excellent. Everything was full of flavour and the portions were generous. The waitress was not very friendly, and never brought us a drinks menu when we arrived, coming straight for the food order. Getting a beer wasn't easy, and after we had the first we never got the chance to get a second. Other than that it was great, though, and certainly didn't spoil the evening.
Dined on a Monday night (when many restaurants are closed). Went because it was one of the few places we could find that was open. We were all pleased with the tasty food, efficient service, large portions and friendly atmosphere. It was surprisingly busy but the staff did a great job getting all the orders out. We had 3 entrees and 4 mains between 4 people. This was way too much, you could easily share 2 entrees and have 3 mains for 4 hungry people. I would go again, glad we found it! (It's BYO)
Decor was fairly typical for a suburban restaurant and it was warm, comfortable and cosy. There were quite a few people there so that is a good sign. Service was attentive and water was quickly brought to the table. Food arrived fairly promptly after ordering. Both dishes (pad thai and a curry) were tasty and plentiful, but I found them to be on the sweet side, which made it a bit rich although, it may be okay for other peoples palate The curry had substantial pieces of meat which were very tender. Certainly good value and I would return.
We regularly pop in for a takeaway at this local restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful and the decor (for dining in) is surprisingly good. The Pad Thai noodles, satay sauce and roti, red curry and Thai fried rice are all lovely. The staff will recommend dishes for you and to since it opened we have not been disappointed. Oh and the curry puffs are delicious too.

My duck curry was enjoyable but I think I will ask for moderately spicy next time. This is my local Thai restaurant and I highly recommend it for fast service dine in and take away.
