a very nice address where you can eat betting and cheap? Yes, it's possible in this little bistro near the north station. On the menu of this noon 24 October: tomato/guacamole verrine, roquefort beef lamelles with homemade and floating ile rissolated apples, all for less than 12 euros! Very reasonable portions, just what it takes. in addition the girl who does the service is particularly smiling and effective. The on... View all feedback.
What Augustin Etienne doesn't like about La Vielle France:
near the north station, menu from noon to 12.50. Make the job good cooking without pretense. a star should be added because for me the restaurant is between medium and very well (well). View all feedback.
If we have to hold one or two positive points, I'd talk about the location and prices. On the other hand, food is really not very good. industrial mayonnaise eggs with tube mayonnaise (assorted of 30g julienne of legume in box)., a fried fizzle with no sauce and with fries without flavor. and a caramel cream of type "sachet all ready" pasty and tasteless. an addition to about 16 euros. a brief mac do would have had more character.
Very simple restaurant, but quite suitable for a lunch from noon to 20€. better than the canteens and bistros of the north station, all the way.
Um endereço muito agradável, onde você could eat bem e cheap em paris? sim é possivel, otimo para ir em casal
A localização é otima, a comida é mediana e o espaço é péssimo. more like qualquer turista faminto, tive than aceitar
Having read some great reviews of La Vielle France, and finding myself with an hour to kill around Gare Du Nord before the Eurostar, I popped in for brunch. Sadly, so did what appeared to be half of the Paris Gendarmerie. I ordered a mushroom omelette with chips & salad. Not the mushroom and cheese omelette which finally arrived, sans chips. After a worrying wait as the time ticked perilously closer to my train departure, the mushroom omelette arrived - sans salad - but by now I couldn't risk any further delay. Needless to say, in the time I had waited for my meal, 'Les Flics' had eaten their fill.Despite this disappointing experience I cannot blame the waitress who could not have been more amiable or apologetic, or indeed the chef down below, as I imagine both were rushed off their feet. I would certainly eat here again but next time I'd check that the only uniforms evident were on the staff.
