It is a restaurant specializing in fish... read more This was one of the restaurants where we had lunch, it is close to Maison Chanel and it was a pleasant surprise for us. It is a restaurant specializing in fish and seafood. Beautiful atmosphere, good service and good dishes. Another great experience that we took from our stay in Paris.

My family has been coming to vin er maree since 1996. although the owners have changed through the years, the quality remained equally high. the variety of fres... read more My family has been coming to vin er maree since 1996. although the owners have changed through the years, the quality remained equally high. the variety of fresh fish and seafood, prepared to your liking, is endless. from fresh lobsters to oysters, wild sole, gambas etc there is nothing you can’t find. the restaurant manager is extremely friendly and helpful and he also speaks very good english (which is not that common in paris). during our last visit we actually came here twice because we enjoyed the food so much. complimentary mussels and aperitife are also mandatory. the wine list is not extensive but the selection is fantastic! we will always be coming back to vin et maree whenever we are in paris!

As entrée we had the snails (which were good), the fish tatar (however the fish tasted really fishy and old). For main dishes we had the scallops with potatomash (scallops were good, however the potatomash had no taste) and the chicken with rice (chicken was really bad, rice again no taste). After a really nice little hint to the waiter about the fish and chicken, he opened a big dicussion absolutley not following the rule of customer is „king“. We ended up not paying for the chicken and left. Therefore I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Today, after a lunch of bulots, below oysters, soupe de poissons and papillot... read more We have eaten here several times during trips to Paris. We have always enjoyed it. Today, after a lunch of bulots, below oysters, soupe de poissons and papillote of spaghetti with seafood, I walked out, leaving my purse on the table. The owner chased me down to return my purse. I was mortified that I had left it! He was so very nice to have run out to find me. Needless to say, we will be back!
