We were a party of 4 that ordered 2 cappuccinos, 1 earl grey tea, and 1 creme brûlée. The cappuccinos were mediocre, it was hot and foamy, but the coffee wasn't the best of quality. The water for the tea was served in a small quaint ceramic purple tea kettle above a matching teacup that was slightly above warm. The creme brûlée was the best part of the order, but not the best creme brûlée I have had. The atmosphere was good sitting outside, but would have been better without all of the cigarette smoke (it's France what can you do? . There is free wifi though and the staff is very friendly and nice.
We were walking along the Canal St Denis on a very cold December day and in need of some warming nourishment when we came upon T'M Cafe, up on one of the roads crossing the canal. It was very busy with locals having lunch but we found a bit of spare room at the bar and ordered the vegetable soup from the huge pot behind the bar. A large serving came out with cups of grated cheese and croutons and it was perfect to warm us up and allow us to continue our walk along canal La Vilette to the canal St Martin. Cost was €6 each.
