Was Федір Таращук at Sequana a mag?
We had the round table that is perfect to chat with friends. The meal is excellent. very original and well presented. vegetables come from the owners' garden. The entrance is fine. the main dish very good. dessert is excellent. We had a very good night. View all feedback.

What Lucie Denis dislikes about Sequana:
We were told that a vegetarian alternative was possible. This was resolved by leaving out the meat and adding a bit more vegetables. No meat replacements whatsoever! But when none of the plate diameters never exceed 12cm (3"), you simply don't have enough, even after 4 courses. This would be ok is it would be an explosion of flavours, but it simply wasn't.On the contrary: black pepper ice cream?? Seriously? This was on... View all feedback.

We dined in Sequana on a busy Saturday evening arriving at 9pm. The restaurant was full and with only one waiter (the maitre d) we waited 15 mins before being given a menu / drinks order. We opted for the 4 course tasting menu with matched wine. The food was beautifully presented and used local, fresh ingredients however we thought most of the courses lacked flavour and seasoning. Our dessert also lacked the pastry despite the menu indicating so - we were told the chef did not prepare enough for the evening. The matched wine was lovely however with a long wait between courses, we had empty glasses for most of the meal. The restaurant itself is intimate but perhaps too quiet, you can hear everybody's conversations. As a new restaurant, I think this place has a lot of potential but at present has some teething problems.

Seriously? This was one of the few weird things that were too ambitious in taste and simply not tasteful at all.Normally, a restaurant of this caliber, price would not be an issue, but in this case, €45 for a menu really wasn't worth it.

The food, the wine, the people, the service, the location - all perfect.A very special place, with one of the best service you'll experience in Paris (not in a posh and pretentious way - rather it is genuine and warm and welcoming).Cannot speak highly enough. We will go back.
