This restaurant serves what most people would associate with Thai food, Western style, in a nice part of Paris that not many people will visit. Just off Gambetta square in a small little street behind the Mk2 cinema, it surprised us with a above average interior decor and more importantly really decent and (by Parisian standards cheap) food. After a first visit to the royal bangkok last month, my companion and I took the habit of returning there regularly. dishes are indeed excellent, both in terms of the proportion, the quality of the food, and the wide choice of the menu (including Thai specialities). Moreover the staff is very welcoming and pleasant. the chef even offered us to taste the small bao burgers that were delicious. The atmosphere is also very quiet and disappointing. very recommended, we will return with pleasure.
