This is... read more Here me out on why I am doing 5 stars- while the food wasn't my favorite (I'm not one to eat a lot of seafood , the experience was definitely worth it. This is a special occasion kind of place. The price tag is pretty dang high, but it is fun to do once and be able to say you've been to a Michelin star restaurant. The restaurant is on a side street not far from the arc de Triomphe. You can wander around the arc and grab some wine at one of the neighboring restaurants. This is what we did as we had the first reservation of the night and got there before they opened. The staff was so nice and open to explaining everything (even to us Americans, aka me, who was asking too many questions . The Sommelier was such a cool dude- he gives off UFC fighter vibes and then starts talking and is the nicest man ever! He walked us through all the wine choices and explained the different flavors and what he thought would pair best for our meal (even asked what price point we are comfortable in, which I thought was very kind . The food came out quickly! I really enjoyed all the appetizers and the palate cleansers were divine! Now I normally am not one to eat any seafood... I don't like the fishy smell or the slimey texture. That being said- this seafood was prepared like nothing I have encountered! It was so delicious (once I got over my mental block of it being seafood lol . Octopus freaks me out with the suction cup looking things but they cooked it to be not slimey, full of flavorful, and had no little cups on mine! While it is not food I would normally eat, or probably get to experience again, it was truly enjoyable and so full of flavor. Take it with a grain of salt, as I am not a professional food reviewer (though I'd love to be! ... I thought all the dishes were well prepared and plated beautifully!

Elevated ideas, with true Mexican flavours a new spin on a cuisine that we think we know. The Michelin star is well deserved. The host was very welcoming, explaining each course, offering exciting amuse bouches, such as the chilli and lime sorbet which was really breathtaking. Loved this experience and will definitely be back!
