But the place is nicely arranged and the friendly service. I took the buddha bowl because it was one of the cheapest (10 euros anyway), it consists of quinoa, rocket, dates, festa, pomegranate seeds and is seasoned with tahini sauce. All was good and hearty. A successful balanced lunch. Since Natives is a few steps away from Canal St Martin, I advise you to take away and eat near the water.

The place is very nice, the food was ok, we l... read more It seemed like the waiter didn 't have any desire to work/be there/have us there. We were 5 people, we had booked. The place is very nice, the food was ok, we liked it although it was not the best ever. But I would have given it 4 stars. I have worked many years in restaurants and hotels as well and this is not how you handle customers. The waiter was rarely present, she never asked us if we needed anything, never smiled, she was abrupt, hasty (and yet the food arrived after one hour. But I didn 't mind that a lot: it may take time to prepare good food) When we arrived there weren 't even 5 napkins and forks but 4 (the table was for 4, she didn 't care about putting the stuff for one person more) at the end when we had to split the bill she didn 't even care to divide it according to what we respectively ate but she split it equally for 5 without even asking. These people don 't understand that when you go to a restaurant you don 't just go for food, otherwise you would order it from home or you would buy it at the supermarket. These people don 't understand that good waitering is not something extra that you may not have. It has to be the standard. I don 't expect a red carpet but at least to feel that the waiter is doing her job with passion. I will of course never return to this place nor suggest it. And that 's a shame because it has good potential.
