We were seeking a place to have a nice little glass of wine and escape the heat. The waiter made it clear that this would not be possible unless we were going t... read more We were seeking a place to have a nice little glass of wine and escape the heat. The waiter made it clear that this would not be possible unless we were going to eat something (even though we would likely be drinking enough wine to make it worthwhile for the restaurant to seat us as we were a thirsty party of 4). So we conceded to eat something. But his attitude was surly at best, he begrudgingly served us wine and refused to bring a 4th glass until our 4th friend arrived. Customer service was not his strength and he did a good job of making us uncomfortable. We had a little something to eat but when the table behind us found glass in their food we decided against eating more and made to leave. The surly waiter was extremely confrontational and upset about this and stormed off when we informed him. We couldn’t understand the problem because there were empty tables everywhere.
