What River Stoltenberg dislikes about Le Progrés:
The place is very typical and old feeling. The beers were great, the food normal and strong taste. It is very small but this is the fact that makes it typical. Placed in a very good location close to sacre coeur. View all feedback.

It is a restaurant that attracts the eye like old breweries, we expect very good dishes. The dishes are too expensive for quality, the 3 fake nets are ridiculous for the price and not too tender with a sauce with too liquid and fade peppers. It still costs 18€50 the dishes it seems to me. the burger was correct, but too expensive also compared to other establishments. the beef tartar was already prepared, so it was not successful at our table. In short, I could have put a good opinion if the quality and the rates were in line. holiday checks and restaurants tickets are not accepted, pattern tenits the responsible: it hires fees and in addition it wants tips. I don't advise unless there's anything else.

Improvised meals at 2:00 on Tuesday... with two children. children's menu, real butcher steak. menu of the day, possibility of veggie salad, good choice of wines with glass. impeccable service. ideally located, close sacred heart in pleasant street.

What a wonderful little bistro on the corner of one of the very walkable Montmartre streets. We were looking for something typically French to finish off our trip (having just arrived on the overnight from Venice) and we were not disappointed. We all chose from the set menu (after a couple of Pastis obviously!) and had the steak frites followed by a delicious hand made tart and creme brûlée. Almost went for a plate of snails to share to start but maybe that would have been too much. The food was outstanding. One of the nicest pepper sauces I've had in France. The 'vin du moment' was also excellent. We took our time. Ate and chatted in the middle of a room full of locals. The buzz and atmosphere was so French you couldn't be anywhere else in the world. It was the perfect end to the holiday, if a little boozier than we had anticipated. Still, a long walk along the Seine sorted that out. This is one of those places I may actually seek out when next in Paris. Worth getting the metro to for simple, honest French cooking.
